NEMA Team led by the Zonal Coordinator Mr. Adebiyi Babatunde Razaq in partnership with the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Special Duties Rivers state, Dr. Agba Harry and Head of SEMA in the state , visited the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) where the surviving rescued persons are being treated, .
The visiting team were received by the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee Prof. Datonye D. Alasia who led them to the hospital’s Regional Burns Center where one of the pms fire disaster victim Mr Goddy Akator is receiving intensive care treatment.
As at the time of the visit , mr Goddy, is the only survival still Alive undergoing serious treatment and diagnosis.
Meanwhile, the State Government has taken responsibility of paying the hospital bills of the affected victim.
The NEMA led appreciated the medical team for their efforts and thanked the CMD for their synergy and collaboration..
