A delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja, where she was invited to participate in the Institute’s maiden International Women’s Day (IWD) programme scheduled for March 2026.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the IWD Planning Committee, Hajiya Lami Tumaka, and accompanied by NIPR FCT Chairman, Mr. Stanley Ogadigo, said the invitation was in recognition of Mrs. Zubaida Umar’s impactful leadership, strengthening to emergency management and outstanding public service.
They also briefed the DG NEMA on Nigeria’s hosting of the World Public Relations Forum in November 2026.
In her response, Mrs. Zubaida Umar appreciated the invitation and commended NIPR’s efforts in advancing professionalism and inclusive leadership, reaffirming NEMA’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen communication and national resilience.
