Upon receipt of the distress call from the commandant of Hq 301 brigade command of the Nigeria army, Gombe, a team of staff from NEMA Gombe Operations Office swung in to action and conducted on the sport assessment.
Summary of the incident is given as follows:
2.Number of houses affected:- 118
3. House holds items are completely destroyed
Priliminary findings have revealed that the cause of the inferno was as a result of cooking gas cylinder explosion from one of the houses.
The management of the Nigeria Army appreciated the swift action of NEMA. The head Of Operations assured the commandant that the assessment report would be forwarded to NEMA Hq for further necessary action.
