NEMA Distributes Relief Materials to Rainstorm Victims in Four Communities of Owan East LGA, Edo State

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Monday July 28, 2025, delivered relief materials to persons and communities affected by a recent rainstorm in Owan East Local Government Area (LGA) of Edo State.

The Head of the Benin Operations Office, Mr. Kenoma Ojuederie was represented by Mr. Adekanbi Akeem, alongside Mr. Udoh John. They conveyed the sympathy of the Director General of NEMA Mrs Zubaida Umar to the affected communities and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting disaster-affected households and mitigating their plights.

The Chairman of Owan East LGA, Hon. Prince Amina Okodo-Kadiri, expressed his profound gratitude to NEMA and the Edo State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for their consistent efforts in ensuring timely delivery of assistance to the people.

In appreciation, Mrs. Imone Ovievbo, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the Federal Government and NEMA’s Director General for the relief items, noting that the support would bring much-needed relief to the affected families.
