National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Edo Operations Office received a distress call from the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwins Omobayo, regarding the devastating rainstorm disaster that ravaged Lampese Community in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area. In response, a team led by the Deputy Governor, comprising NEMA, Edo State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and other stakeholders, conducted an on-the-spot assessment to determine the extent of damage caused by the rainstorm.
NEMA team was led by Joseph Akpofabe Principal Relief and Rehabilitation Officer .
The assessment revealed significant damage to private residences and public infrastructure.
