In a bid to ensure a most efficient coordination and synergy of purpose of humanitarian intervention efforts in the North-East Geo Political zone between Federal Government and Non-Governmental Organizations, a Two-Day NGO Stakeholders’ Engagement Forum is being convened by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) under the supervision of the office of the Vice-President.
The 2-Day engagement forum will be declared open by the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at the Borno State Government State House in Maiduguri with the theme – ‘North-East Humanitarian Multi Stakeholders Engagement with focus on Communication, Coordination & Co-operation’ is expected to establish a
framework for such coordination by bringing key stakeholders into one strategy session that will produce a blueprint for best practices for coordination and ensure articulated
response to emergencies and humanitarian challenges like the present situation in the three most affected states of the North East; Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe States.
