Following the approval of Relief Items to victims of Fire Disaster in Bodija Market and Flood disaster in Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State, the South West Zonal Office of the Agency carried out the distribution exercise on Wednesday 6th February, 2023.
- The exercise which was witnessed by the Honorable representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in person of Prince Olaide Akinremi, was a huge success as beneficiaries expressed their Joy towards the Federal Government gesture.
- The Zonal Coordinator, Mr Akiode Saheed, conveyed the concerns of the Director General. He also on behalf of DG expressed sympathy over the unfortunate incidences. He noted that the relief items are meant to compliment the efforts of the State Government in providing first line support to the affected persons.
- Responding on behalf of the victims, the Honorable commended the efforts of the Agency for what he decribed as prompt response in assisting the victims and promised proper usage of the materials by every beneficiaries.
- The exercise was witnessed by stakeholders including Police, DSS, local vigilante groups and the media.
