The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Kano Office, facilitated the reception of 148 Nigerian returnees from Agadez, Niger Republic. The returnees arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) aboard an Air Mali flight at 10:05 p.m. on June 23, 2025.
The repatriation was coordinated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with key stakeholders supporting migrant assistance and reintegration.
Demographic Breakdown:
Adult Males: 115
Male Children: 7
Adult Females: 17
Female Children: 9
Following their arrival, the returnees were accommodated at Badala Hotel, where profiling and documentation were conducted on June 24, 2025.
