The NEMA South West Zonal Office today 26th January,2024. receved a distress alert of a plane mishap at about 11.55Hrs. The Zonal Coordinator Mr kadiri Olanrewaju Swiftly mobilized the response Stakeholders to the scene of incident. The airline which is a private airline (Mattini Air) enroute lbadan from Abuja with registration No N580KR skidded off the runway, had technical issues, with 10 passengers on board and 3 crew members.No casualty was recorded. The situation was brought under control by a combine team of Stakeholders. Stakeholders present at the scene include FAAN, NCAA, AVSEC, NEMA, NSIB. As at the time of this report investigation is still on going by NSIB and relevant Stakeholders to ascertain the root cause of the incident.
