On February 15, 2024, a one-day capacity-building workshop for security agencies in Imo State addressed the escalating insecurity issues, including armed robbery, kidnappings, and pipeline vandalization. Organized by Imo SEMA and NIMASA, participants from various agencies such as NEMA, Nigerian Army, NSCDC, NIS, Customs, NPF, Correctional Services, FRSC, FFS, NIMASA, and vigilantes gathered to discuss the overview of security challenges in Imo State and emphasize the importance of synergy for intelligence gathering and security. The workshop involved presentations, syndicate groups, experience sharing, and the formulation of recommendations for combating insecurity in the state.
