Officers of NEMA Lagos Territorial Office LTO responded to a multiple crash incident that occurred at 2am today, 23 May, 2024 on Lagos Ibadan Expressway, World Oil busstop opposite Kara Cattle market.
The accident, according to an eye witness, was caused by overspeeding; five vehicles were involved, including a luxurious bus and a containerized lorry. No life was lost, four people sustained serious injuries and others had minor ones; they have all been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. All the affected vehicles were badly damaged and towed to the FRSC office at the Sagamu Interchange to clear the traffic that had affected major roads in Lagos.
Agencies on ground include NEMA, LASEMA, Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA), FRSC, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency(TRACE) and the Nigeria Police.
