NEMA DISTRIBUTES FOOD AND NON-FOOD ITEMS TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY WINDSTORM DISASTER IN MICHIKA/MADAGALI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY OF ADAMAWA STATE

In response to the devastating windstorm disaster that struck Michika and Madagali, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), with the approval of Director General Mrs. Zubaida Umar has launched a significant relief effort. This initiative aims to provide urgent aid to those severely impacted by the recent calamity.

The relief distribution was initiated by Hon. Zakariya Dauda Nyampa, Member of the House of Representatives for Madagali and Michika Federal Constituency. The distribution was led by Mr. Galadima Sam Boyi of the Relief and Rehabilitation Unit of NEMA’s Yola Operations Office.

An agreement outlining the distribution process was formalized, allowing the exercise to be conducted systematically across all affected wards in both Michika and Madagali Local Government Areas of Adamawa State. This comprehensive distribution plan ensured that aid reached every affected household.

The distribution event was attended by representatives from all the affected communities, as well as representatives from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Jama’atu Nasrullahi Islam (JNI). Their presence was a testament to the collaborative and transparent approach adopted in the relief effort.
