The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has handed over 24,150 bags of assorted grains to the Adamawa State Government to combat food insecurity among vulnerable populations. Representing NEMA, Mr. Yakubu Suleiman officiated the ceremony, emphasizing the Federal Government’s commitment to aiding states affected by economic challenges and natural disasters. The grains include maize, millet, and sorghum.
Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaleyapwa G. Farauta, thanked the Federal Government and NEMA for the timely intervention, highlighting the importance of transparency and collaboration in delivering the relief materials. The ceremony, held at NEMA’s Yola warehouse, was attended by various officials and stakeholders to ensure the proper distribution of the aid.
