On Thursday, June 27th, 2024 , the NYSC/NEMA Emergency Management Vanguard CDs Group conducted a successful Sensitization Program on Cholera Prevention and Environmental Sanitation at Oja-Oba Market and Environs in Ilorin West Local Government, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The objective was to educate market stall owners and community members on cholera prevention and the importance of environmental sanitation in preventing the spread of the disease, which is a significant concern in many parts of Nigeria.
The program featured interactive presentations on cholera prevention and environmental sanitation practices,while engaging community members on sanitation practices.
At the end of the program, NEMA CDs Group achieved increased awareness among market stall owners and community members on cholera prevention and environmental sanitation, improved understanding of sanitation practices to prevent the spread of cholera, and received positive feedback from participants on the program’s usefulness.
The event was well-received, and participants showed a keen interest in learning about cholera prevention and sanitation practices.
