NEMA has distributed relief materials to Victims of Armed Banditry and Flood in 11 LGAs of Zamfara state to cushion the plight of those affected by the recent incident of Armed banditry and flood in Zamfara state.
The Head, NEMA Sokoto Operations Office was represented by Head of Planning Research and Forecasting, Mr. Tukur Abubakar who led other staff of NEMA Sokoto Operations Office, officials from Zamfara Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, Local government officials and community leaders to carry out the direct distribution across the affected LGAs.
The relief materials consist of; Food items such as, Rice, Beans, Maize, Vegetable oil, Seasoning cubes and Iodized salt, Building materials such as, Roofing sheets, Zinc nails and 3′ nails, others are, Nylon mats, Blankets, Foam mattresses, Treated mosquito nets, Guinea brocades, Wax prints and Children’s wares.
The affected Local government areas include: Gusau, Bungudu, Maru, Maradun, Talata Mafara, Kaura Namoda, Tsafe, Anka Bukkuyum, Gunmi and Zurmi Local government.
The victims expressed their delight over the Federal Government gesture through NEMA .
