The Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed was in Dutse the Jigawa state capital to Handover Relief Items to the State Government for distribution to Person’s Affected by Flood Disaster.
The Director General who was received by the Deputy Governor Jigawa state Alhaji Umar Namadi was accompanied by the Director Relief and Rehabilitation Alhaji Alhassan Nuhu and the Special Assistant to the Director General Idris Abubakar Mohammed.
Highlights of the visit was symbolic presentation of the relief items, inspection of the items in warehouse by the DG and the Deputy Governor after a courtesy call at Government House Jigawa.
The Deputy Governor in his remarks appreciated the Federal Government for all the interventions provided to Jigawa state through NEMA.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director General pointed out that Jigawa state was among the most affected states ravaged by the recent flooding while urging the state and local Governments across the country to partner with the Agency to ensure swift response to victims of disasters.
