NEMA, South West Zonal Office in Collaboration with Osun State Emergency Management Agency today 25th June,2024 distributed Food and Non Food Items to persons affected by windstorm Disaster in Ife East and Ife Central Local Government Area of Osun State. The distribution exercise was flagged off by the Zonal Coordinator Mr Kadiri Olanrewaju. He sympathized with the victims and expressed Federal Government’s support through NEMA for the distribution of food and non food items to the affected Persons. He also charged the beneficiaries to adhere strictly to early warning safety precautions most especially as we are in the onset of the raining season.The Special Adviser to Osun State Government on Disaster Management, Hon Eniola Fakeye, thanked NEMA for the timely intervention. The distribution was Carried out in the presence of relevant Stakeholders which includes,
• Osun SEMA,
• Nigeria Police Force
• Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
• Community leaders, among others. Some of the Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the Federal Government through NEMA for always being there for those in distress.
