a windstorm disaster which occurred on the 5th july,2024 at the time when marketers displayed their wares at an organized trade fair at IBB square, Bauchi metropolitan. The incident affected many shops while many persons were taken to hospital with various degrees of injuries for medical treatment four casualties were confirmed.
Another case of windstorm incident was in Jalam Community of Dambam LGA, Bauchi state, no loss of life was ascertained but only damage of several houses and farmlands.
In Gombe state, it was a case of people harvesting leaves that was sprayed with herbicide for cooking local soup called “miyar Tafasa”.Most of the people who ate the poisonous leaves were taken to hospital with cases of diarrhea and vomiting and many casualties were reported.
