The National Emergency Management Agency has organized a national consultative workshop on climate Risk Mitigation, Preparedness and Response. The workshop which brought together stakeholders to discuss critical issues arising from the challenges of climate change and its attendant effects that include flood, drought, etc was held at Reiz Continental Hotel Abuja Thursday 16 August 2018.
DG NEMA Engr Mustapha Y Maihaja led other stakeholders in the discussions. The participants comprise representatives of Nimet, NIHSA, SEMAs, Army, Navy, Airforce, Paramilitary agencies, Ministries, etc. In attendance among others were the Special Adviser to the President on Disaster Risk Reduction Dr Femi Oke-Osayintolu, DG FCT Emergency Management Agency.
