A delegation from NEMA, led by Director General Mustapha Habib Ahmed, attended the 2023 United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA. The delegation, which included the DG NEMA, the Director of Disaster Risk Reduction, and the SADG, also visited the Office of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mission (The Nigerian House) in New York. During the UNGA 78th Third Committee Plenary Meeting on Agenda Item 60, “Report of The High Commissioner For Refugees,” DG NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed delivered a presentation. He was accompanied by Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Prof Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, Director Disaster Risk Reduction Daniel Obot, and SADG Idris Abubakar Mohammed.
