A storey building in Igede town collapsed on Tuesday 31st October 2023.
The house which was occupied by the family of Mr Lanre Olagunju was noticed to be a mud house which was later cemented.
As at the time of the incident, Mr Olagunju and his family were in the house, a 13 year old girl named ifeoluwa died as a result of the incident while Mr Lanre, his wife and two other children are currently at the General Adebayo Hospital, Iyin-Ekiti receiving treatment while the body of late Miss Ifeoluwa had been deposited at the mortuary.
The house and 4 adjourning buildings are noted to be dilapidated and would have to be demolished to avert future collapse.
