




Following the recent windstorm that affected parts of Adamawa State, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, in collaboration with the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), carried out a joint on-the-spot assessment on 27th June 2025 in Demsa and Numan Local Government Areas.
The assessment revealed significant destruction across several communities. In Demsa LGA, the communities of Maharana, Dakusung, and Gamsari were affected, with 1,566 individuals from 261 households impacted. A total of 57 houses were completely destroyed, while 204 sustained partial damage.
In Numan LGA, the windstorm affected 2,571 people across 429 households in the communities of Kwapuka, Gangare, Wodi Pare, Wayam, and Sato.
Findings from the assessment have been compiled to guide appropriate intervention and relief efforts for the affected populations.
