Dr. Onimode Bandele, Director Special Duties, and Air Commodore E Adedokun, Director Search and Rescue, represented NEMA Director General Mustapha Habib Ahmed at the 2022 Migration Dialogue on Accelerating Climate Adaptation in Displacement and Human Mobility.
The National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons is organizing the program with the theme: Accelerating Climate Adaptation in Displacement and Human Mobility. It is an annual event held to commemorate the International Day of Migrants, which is observed worldwide on December 18th. The event this year is the 18th in the series.
The discussions centered on achieving SDG Goal 13, Climate Actions, Goal 2 of the Global Compact on Safe and Orderly Migration, and other issues concerning the welfare of displaced people in the country.
