Zonal Coordinator, NEMA North West Zonal Office, Abbani Imam Garki has received the Management staff of the National Blood Service Commission on a courtesy visit to the Agency’s office today in Kaduna.
The Zonal Coordinator accompanied by Heads of Units received the team which was led by its Zonal Director, Dr. Peter Maiyaki at the Agency’s conference room.
He appreciated and commended the Commission’s Zonal Director for reaching out to relevant Stakeholders for the familiarization visit.
The Zonal Director, Dr. Maiyaki in his brief statement appreciated the reception accorded to him and his team, he said that the visit was an advocacy, as the Agency is one of the core partner of the Commission,
He stated that the visit was also a mobilization for the forthcoming National Donor Day which takes place on Friday the 8th of December, 2023.
He further highlighted the reasons for the need to create awareness about the importance of blood donation and appealed to the Agency to collaborate with them in sounding the alarm of the importance of blood in saving lives.
In his response, the Zonal Coordinator assured them that the Agency is always willing to support and collaborate with partners in Disaster Management.
He added that saving lives is also a mandate of the agency and there are a lot of stakeholders that will also be willing to partner with the commission, adding that the Agency will avail the commission all the support they require in achieving their mandate.
Present during the meeting with the commission’s management staff were the Zonal office’s relevant Heads of Units respectively.
