NEMA in conjuction with the Emergency, Crisis, Disaster Risk Management Institute conducted a 3-Day training for individuals and corporate organisations that volunteered to build their capacity in disaster and Risk management in Lagos.

The training participants which included

Disaster Risk Professionals, Emergency Responders, Academia, Researchers, Students, Risk Managers, QHSE Professionals, Security Officers, Medical and Healthcare Professionals, Military, Para-Military Officers attended the training which took place at the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Training Centre, Ikeja.

NEMA was assisted by the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Nigeria Airspace Management Agency [NAMA] and the Lagos State Fire Service personnel in

Crisis Management Practical Simulation Sessions on such as Disaster search, rescue operations; Mass Casualty Evacuation and handling procedures;

Fire fighting techniques; rise building’s evacuation;

First Aid/CPR/ALS;

Air crash Response methodologies;

Maritime search and rescue operations and

Personal survival techniques.

Participants were drawn from different parts of the country.
