Another batch of 135 Nigerians evacuated from Sudan have arrived this morning at 5:11am. Among them is an 8th month old baby.
They were conveyed by Tarco Aviation and received at the pilgrims wing of Nnamdi Arzikiwe International Airport Abuja by Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed who was represented by Director Special Duties Dr Onimode Abdullahi Bandele that led other NEMA staff.
Addressing the returnees, he told them how the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari was concerned about their plights in approving for their evacuation in safety and dignity.
He highlighted provisions that have been made for them that include token of support by Dangote Foundation, MTN Nigeria.
The returnees were served meals, cleared by Nigerian Immigration Service, given the token of supports from Dangote Foundation and MTN before leaving the airport.
Also present are representatives of NSCDC, Port Health and others. NCFRMI officials are being expected.
This is the 12th flight and brings the total returnees to 2, 129
