NEMA, South West Zonal Office in Collaboration with Osun State Emergency Management Agency on 21st June,2024 distributed Food and Non Food Items to persons affected by windstorm Disaster in Ola oluwa Local Government Area of Osun State. The distribution exercise was flagged off by the Zonal Coordinator represented by ACSARO, Mr. Uduebor Austin. He expressed the heartfelt condolences of the Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, saying the items were given to cushion the effect of the disaster. He also charged the beneficiaries to be conscious of harzards within their environment, most especially as we are in the raining season. The Special Adviser to Osun State Government on Disaster Management, Hon Eniola Fakeye, thanked NEMA for their swift and timely intervention. The distribution was Carried out in the presence of relevant Stakeholders which includes,
• Osun SEMA,
• Nigeria Police Force
• Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
• Local Government representative,
• Community leaders, among others. The Local Government Chairman, Onidele Kazeem thanked the Federal Government and NEMA on behalf of the Beneficiaries. He promised the judicious use of the relief items.
