The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sokoto Operations Office (SOO) on Tuesday 9th Sept 2025, joined other stakeholders in Sokoto State to participate in a sensitization campaign organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
The campaign focused on five thematic areas of national importance: government policies, national values, security awareness, Nigeria’s identity, and disaster management.
Representing the Head of Operations, Mr. Tukur Abubakar, Head of Planning Unit at the SOO, delivered NEMA’s remarks. He commended NOA for initiating the campaign, noting that it aligns with NEMA’s mission of promoting a culture of disaster risk reduction and preparedness across communities.
He further emphasized that collaboration among agencies, institutions, and citizens is critical in minimizing risks, protecting lives, and safeguarding livelihoods. Mr. Abubakar assured NOA of NEMA’s continued partnership and support, particularly in advancing awareness, capacity building, and coordinated disaster response across the state.
