NEMA/NYSC Emergency Management Vanguards community Development Service CDS in Sokoto State were at the Federal Government Collage, Sokoto where members educated the students on the dangers of fire and preventive measures.
The resources persons are members of the CDS. They spoke on fire disaster, how to prevent it and also talked on Disaster Risk Reduction. The EMVs were inspired by the participation of the students and formed a DRR Club in the school.
NEMA, SOO provided support to the Corp Members, as members of SOO staff were on ground to guide and assist the EMVs and added colour to the program by making further remarks and comments to encourage the initiative.
