NEMA donates Ambulance to NSCDC

To support the roles of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in disaster management, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented a mobile intensive care ambulance to the corps for its operations in the Federal Capital Territory.

Presenting the ambulance in Abuja, Director General NEMA Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sidi said the gesture was also aimed at enhancing capacity of the NSCDC for prompt response in provision of emergency medical assistance during disaster.

The Director General of NEMA who was represented by the Director of Search and Rescue Air Commodore Charles Otegbade said "NEMA is giving this ambulance to the NSCDC in fulfillment of our earlier commitment to support your responses in the FCT."

Receiving the ambulance, Commandant General of the NSCDC Dr Ade Abulorin said the gesture has evidenced the exemplary leadership roles of NEMA in coordination of disaster management in the country.

Dr Abulorin who was represented by the Deputy Commandant General Suleiman Bello assured the use of the ambulance according to the desired purpose, adding that the NSCDC would continue to cherish the existing working relationship between the two organizations.
