Director Disaster Risk Reduction Daniel Obot, representing Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed, participated in a workshop organized by the United Nations Information Center and the World Meteorological Organization at Rockview Hotel Abuja. The interactive session aimed to enhance media and stakeholder understanding of climate change issues ahead of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP28, scheduled for November 30 to December 12, 2023, in Dubai. During his address, the Director General’s representative expressed gratitude to the organizers and pledged continuous collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the safety of citizens amidst global climate-related disasters.
