One hundred and fifty five distressed Nigerians have been repatriated back to Nigeria from Libya

One hundred and fifty five distressed Nigerians have been repatriated back to Nigeria from Libya.

They were assisted back in a voluntary repatriation exercise programme by the United Nations International Organisation for Migration (UN’IOM) on Tuesday 30th April, 2024.

The flight Al Buraq Air Boeing 5A-BAA with the registration number 5A- DMG landed at the Cargo Wing of Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja at about 1755 hours.

The profiles of the Returnees indicate that 29 Males, 111 Females, 11 Children and 1 Infant arrived in Nigeria aboard the flight.

Some of the Returnees demonstrated their joy for the success of their return back to Nigeria.

Agencies on ground to receive the Nigerians were NEMA, FAAN, Nigeria Refugee Commission, Immigration Service and Nigeria Port Health Services.
