NEMA North East zonal office received reports of fire outbreak in the above named camp. Assessment of the incident was carried out.
The fire started at about 10:45am and fire service , NEMA, SEMA, NPF, Nigeria Army and other stakeholders responded to the incident.
The Idp camp structure was completely burnt down, and as of the time of response,
Two male children were completely burnt in the inferno
Many IDPs were injured with 700 Shelters completely burnt . About 760 Households affected . The NEZ office has provided water with the water tanker due to the heat and lack of potable water in the location.
