Enugu State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), led a delegation to visit the Zonal Director/Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South East Zonal Office in Enugu.

On March 14, 2024, the Enugu State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Otoibhi Ehi Cyprian, led a delegation to visit the Zonal Director/Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South East Zonal Office in Enugu. The purpose of the visit included familiarization, fostering collaboration, and partnering to enhance disaster management in the state. Major James Eze, the Acting Zonal Director of NEMA, expressed gratitude and assured cooperation with NSCDC during NEMA activities, highlighting NEMA’s expertise in training stakeholders on disaster management and search and rescue (SAR) operations. Mrs. Ngozi Echeazu, the Acting Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, shared plans for distributing food to vulnerable Nigerians and included NSCDC in the committee for this initiative. An interactive session followed, with the directive for NSCDC staff to undergo training on SAR equipment. The visit concluded with a group photo and souvenir exchange.
