
In continuation of voluntary repatriation of vulnerable Nigerians from Libya facilitated by International Organization For Migration (IOM), NEMA Lagos Operation Office along with other stakeholders received a total of 176 vulnerable Nigerian Returnees from Libya at the Murtala Muhamed International Airport, Cargo Terminal, Ikeja, Lagos today 18th February, 2025.
The returnees arrived at Murtala Muhamed International Airport at 17:15hours aboard an Al Buraq Boeing chartered flight with registration no 5ABAB. The returnees comprise 159 women, 8 children and 9 infants. They (returnees) were offered necessary assistance by IOM with the support of NEMA, NCFRMI, Nigeria Immigration, DSS, Port Health and Nigeria Police Force. After the mandatory profiling and biometric exercise, the returnees were moved to Igando IDPs resettlement center for further reintegration programs
