



In continuation of the Assisted Voluntary Returns initiative facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Federal Government, the Lagos Operations Office received 104 Nigerian returnees from Algeria on June 30, 2025, at approximately 1350 hours. The returnees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport cargo terminal on an Air Algerie flight with flight no: 70-BKT. The breakdown of the returnees is as follows:
- 80 adult males
- 14 adult females
- 2 male children
- 5 female children
- 3 infants
Upon arrival, the returnees underwent biometric registration and documentation by the Nigerian Immigration Service and were provided with essential support, including:
- Food and water
- Medical assistance
- Ambulance services
- Luggage handling
- Logistics support
This comprehensive support ensured a dignified and safe return for the citizens.
