The Edo Operations Office conducted relief items distribution in the 18 Local Government Areas of Delta State. The Head of Operations Mr. Dahiru Yusuf led a joint team of NEMA and Delta SEMA in the distribution exercise.
The commencement of the additional relief materials distribution to the 2022 Flood disaster affected communities started with Oshimili South LGA.
The flag off exercise was jointly conducted with SEMA, Permanent Secretary Bureau of Special Duties Mr. Greg Ejehwomu& LG officials at the Oshimili South Local Government Council Secretariat in Asaba.
On behalf of the benefiting communities, Apostle Richards thanked the Federal Government and NEMA for the relief items and wished the Director General of NEMA Alhaji Mustapha Habib Ahmed God’s continue protection in the discharge of onerous task of managing disasters across the country.
Relief ttems distributed comprises of Food, non-food, Building Materials as well as livelihood support materials to cushion the post flood impact
