NEMA North West Zonal Coordinator, Abbani Imam Garki paid a working visit to the Commanding Officer 2 Battalion Nigeria Army, Kaduna Lieutenant Colonel AbdulQadir Abdullahi in Kaduna.
The Zonal Coordinator was represented by the Head of Unit, Search and Rescue, AbdulQadir Mohammed who led other staff of the zone for the visit.
During the visit, issues were discussed to forster the existing working relationship between NEMA and the Nigeria Army who serve as one among the Disaster Reaction Units of during Emergencies
However, NEMA solicited for military support to have a standby security personnel position to safeguard the warehouse following recent incident were hoodlums attack government facilities to cart away food items and other valuables.
Lt Col Abdullahi assured the agency for Nigeria Army relentless cooperation and necessary support in whatever capacity to deal with the current situation and other arising matters.
The 2 Battalion Nigeria Army has been host to the agency were its operational vehicles are being kept due to lack of enough space at the temporary office building after the relocation from the permanent site following insecurity threats.
