NEMA trains Nigerian Army Officers 2023 batch on Role of Military in Disaster/Emergency Management at the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management Lagos

NEMA Lagos Territorial Office has trained over 170 Nigerian Army Officers 2023 batch on basics of disaster/emergency management at the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management located at Ojo opposite Lagos State University Main Campus.

The training which started on the 11th of January ended on the 12th of January, 2023.

In the course of the exercise, various aspects of disaster management at the national and International levels.

Amongst the topics handled were National Disaster management and International Agencies, Objectives of Good Emergency, Emergency Management In Nigeria.

Also issues on First Aid, Mass Casualty Handling, the Roles of the Military in Disaster Management in Nigeria as well as issues on Coordination, Planning, inter Agency collaboration and Integration Concepts were taught during the sessions.

The whole participants were then divided into 4 syndicate groups to deliberate on a Multi Incident Scenarios on Topic that actually happened in the past.

The two days training was made to be interactive by the NEMA Resource persons and the College officials.

It was agreed that for the future training to be more impactful, practical sessions will be introduced in the modules
