The NEMA South East in a bid to reduce road traffic accident/carnage on the major highways in the zone during the Yuletide period, flagged off the “Operation Eagle Eye” in collaboration with FRSC. The targeted flash points include: Obollo Afor along the Benue/Kogi – 9th Mile/Enugu highway, Niger Head bridge Onitsha and Ugwuoba along Enugu – Awka expressway, Enugu/Awka old road, Enugu metropolis, Enugu/Abakaliki expressway. According to the Zonal Coordinator, the joint efforts of NEMA, FRSC and other stakeholders will go a long way in enhancing safety on the road and lessening traffic congestion.
