The direct distribution was conducted by officials of NEMA Sokoto Operations Office led by Head of Search and Rescue Unit, Alh Aminu Ambursa who represented the Head of Operation, Alhaji Aliyu Shehu Kafindangi in collaboration with staff from SEMA Sokoto, NPF, NSCDC, DSS, traditional rulers, and Local government officials.
The Local Council Chairmen of Bodinga and Yabo who both spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, commends the Director General of NEMA, Mustapha Habib Ahmed for timely intervention to ameliorate the suffering of the affected persons.
The direct distribution is expected to continue in due course with other affected Local government areas that were affected by this year’s flood disaster.
