NEMA Lagos Territorial Office LTO responded to a fire alert in the early hours of 11 August, 2024. The fire incident at LG Office which housed their warehouse and assembling space started around 11pm on Saturday; both the Federal and State Fire Services responded promptly and were able to control the fire from spreading to other buildings. Despite the curtailment of the fire, it raged furiously for hours due to compressors stored and the response teams had to call for reinforcement and the deployment of foam tender before the fire was eventually doused late in the afternoon. Agencies on ground include NEMA, LASEMA, Federal Fire, State Fire, the Nigeria Police and the Military.
No casualty was recorded but appliances worth billions of Naira was destroyed.
