NEMA  NORTH CENTRAL ZONE CONDUCTS ASSESSMENT ON THE COMMUNAL  CLASHES BETWEEN FARMERS/HERDERS IN KOKONA NASSARAWA STATE

The National Emergency Management Agency NORTH CENTRAL ZONE, JOS, PLATEAU STATE on 26th April 2923 conducted an on-the -spot assessment  of the communal  clash that happened between farmers and herders in Tatara Mada and Mama Yanda in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

In his  remarks to the victims , the Director General of the Agency, Alh Mustapha Habib said the Agency was in the Local government and the communities in particular to commiserate with them and to carry out an on-the-spot-assessment on the level of destruction .  The DG who was represented by the Zonal Information  Officer, Mr. Audu Yohana (on behalf of the zonal Coordinator Mr. Eugene Nyelong) further added that the essence of the assessment is to see the level destruction to enable the Federal government  cushion the hardship the victims are passing through as result of the conflict. He assured them of the Agency’s willingness to collaborate with the state Emergency Management Agency to alleviate the impact their losses.
