The NEMA Ibadan Operations Office received a distress alert today, 10th April 2025, regarding a fire outbreak at Alesinloye Roundabout, Ibadan. In response, the Head of Operations, Mr. Olanrewaju Kadiri, promptly mobilized all relevant response stakeholders to the scene.
Thanks to the swift intervention of the Federal Fire Service, supported by other agencies, the fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading to nearby buildings within the vicinity.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating the roundabout. The vehicle fell into a ditch and immediately caught fire.
