The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in line with its coordination role in disaster management yesterday convened a National Emergency Coordination Forum meeting on flood situation in the country.
In attendance were stakeholders from various Ministries Department and Agencies including the Military, local and international partners. Some partners including the head of UN-OCHA Nigerian participated via virtual meeting platforms.
The meeting discussed updates from the stakeholders’ response to the flood situation in the country, especially the current devastating inaundation of Maiduguri.
