The NEMA South South Zone Office distributed relief items to the victims of the 2023 flood disaster in Tai and Bonny Local Government Areas of Rivers State, Nigeria. A total of 22 communities benefited from the exercise. The Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Adebiyi Babatunde Razaq, represented the DG of NEMA and conveyed sympathies to the victims. The relief items, provided by the Federal Government, included foodstuffs, clothing, personal care items, and building materials. Local government chairmen and the state Emergency Management Agency expressed gratitude for the support. The event was attended by various stakeholders and security operatives, concluding after a two-day distribution.
