The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated and distributed relief materials worth millions of naira to the affected persons of rain/windstorm and fire disasters in Ebonyi State.
While presenting the relief materials to the victims, the Zonal Coordinator of NEMA South East Zone, Major James Eze emphasized that the occurrence of disasters in the communities affected should not be construed as the handwork of an offended god, but it is as a result of the fallout from the global climate change currently affecting the entire world.
He therefore calls on the people to be more vigilant of early warning signs so as to take local precaution for mitigation measures.
