The Head NEMA Owerri Operations Office, Mr. Igwe Nnamdi with some officers from the zone were at the office of the Commanding Officer 342 Artillery Regiment Obinze Imo State, S.A Yakubu for a familiarization visit.
Mr Yakubu expressed his happiness over the visit saying that it will make security support during emergency/disaster responses much easier. He expressed his readiness to work with NEMA and appealed for constant stakeholders meetings to enhance disaster responses in the state.
In addition, he requested that NEMA should come to their aid with regards to the market fire that occurred in the barracks destroying over 200 shops, building and goods worth millions of naira.
