A joint assessment team yesterday conducted an on-the-spot assessment of a fire that gutted the motorcycle section of the Sokoto Central Market.
The team comprised of NEMA, SEMA, representatives of market/traders unions and security personnel.
The fire which was caused by burning waste dump close to the motorcycle section of the market burnt down over 100 shops, hundreds of bicycles and motorcycles as well as other goods worth millions of naira were destroyed In the inferno
