FG PRESENT MEDICAMENT DONATED BY MAP INTERNATIONAL TO SOME HOSPITALS IN TARABA STATE.

The federal government on Monday, 6th February,2023, presented some medicaments to selected hospitals in Taraba State. The hospitals includes; Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, General Hospital Zing, First Referral Hospital Kurmi, General Hospital Gembu, and General Hospital Wukari.

Alhaji Mustapha Habib Ahmed, the Director General, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) during the presentation in Jalingo, Taraba State capital said that the gesture was a demonstration of concern by Federal government to provide quality health care services to victims of flooding, banditry, kidnapping and other other social vices ravaging the country.

Habib, who was represented by Mr Agwunwa Cyprian, said that five health facilities in Taraba State are targeted to benefit from this noble gesture.

He advised the various hospitals management to make good use of the medicaments to the benefit of the affected persons.

In his remarks, Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba State, who was represented by Mallam K. Danbaki, an Admin officer with the state ministry of special Duties and Mr Mathew D. Yohana of the Hospital Management Board thanked the Federal Government through the office of the Minister of Humanitarian affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouk and NEMA Director-General, Alhaji Mustapha Habib Ahmed for the kind gesture and pleaded for more supports for the victims.

Medicaments presented include knee walker, prenatal micronutrients, syringes,krill oil,sharp collectors, Bactine spray, lancet procare, eye glasses, etc

Stakeholders that
witnessed the presentation includes NSCDC, the DSS, Hospital Management Board, and TSEMA.
